Dylan's Amazing Discovery

After looking at many rosters, graphs and calendars. Dylan looked out the window and up to the sky. Everyone had been aware of Global warming since the year 2004. Back then Global warming was something that people heard about and said, "Oh no I can't believe this, my great, great, great, great, great, great grandchildren's grandchildren will most likely be in danger, I wish there was something I could do!" But the fact is that their distant grandchildren are living with us now... in the present and Global Warming has taken drastic steps. The water from the ocean has reached 40 km inland from the coasts since 2010, and it is very hot to say the least. People have come up with many ideas, terraforming another planet, trying to move the earth and just plain old stop fossil fuels from damaging our ozone, but all of the idea's might have worked a couple of thousand years ago... but no sadly the year is 3450 and the world has almost vanished under water.  Whole city's are on stilts. The population has died down but not enough for the 12% of land still showing on the planet and the 3 billion members living on It's surface. I have been working on fixing this problem for years. The government has shunned all my idea's for fixing this problem. My idea's range from blueprints of a colony ship worth over $120 billion to Creating another planet under the water. But now I think I have made the most amazing yet ridiculous idea yet. Putting gills on humans! Plastic surgery has been used since the year 2000 BC when the Indians used to perform skin grafts. In the 18th century Europeans traveled to India to learn things such as Rhinoplasty and plastic surgery has been part of many people's lives ever since. The idea was not extremely realistic but you would be amazed with how much the human race has evolved, I mean we do have webbed feet and can see a lot better in the dark since 2100. Maybe the webbed feet was a sign from Coatlicue (God of earth and the mother of all Gods) that humans were meant to live underwater. The Gods have not been kind but Coatlicue has been the only one that has stuck with us in our time of need. When we thought the world was going to submerge completely. The core of the earth expanded and the land of the outer core rose taking us higher from the water. This was Coatlicue's work we're sure of it. My friend and loyal companion Zuzu sat next to me. He is one of the last original Chimpanzees left on earth since the bounty was placed on their heads in 2300. He was now in the liquidation tube looking at me with unease and fear. He was to be my 3rd test for the gill's experiment since the frog and the bird. The frog was a complete success but the bird exploded leaving a nasty mess for my cleaner to wipe up. I felt sorry for him, but if this was a success he would have saved mankind... and chimpkind! I flipped the eight switches to all face up. The tube lit up a light blue and the timer started beeping. 40 minutes were counting down. I closed my eyes and prayed. I woke up and rubbed my eyes. I had a strange feeling that I was supposed to remember sometthing.
